This section brings you tips & tidbits for caregivers that caregivers themselves have tried & have gotten good results. The aim is to make life easier, whether by saving time or eliminating unnecessary effort. I welcome suggestions for all sorts of tasks because it means that I may find a shortcut or that something that sounds great, isn't. Especially when you are placed in a new situation sooner than you planned - or didn't plan at all! - it's good to know how others handled the job. These tidbits include addressing things that result from a disablilty or condition and of which you may not have thought - such as difficulty in opening containers or lifting large drinks. Of course, not every tip will work for your particular situation, but try different approaches until you find a method that works for you - then let us know about it!
